Alicia Dawn Duty

Alicia Dawn Duty, beloved daughter of Ron and Janie Duty of South Point, Ohio, completed her God-given mission on this earth on Thursday, May 7, 2020, and was gently carried by the angels past all the stars she loves so much to be with Jesus, the Lover and Keeper of her soul. She is no longer confined to a bed nor tormented with seizures, but is now dancing with her shiny pink shoes on streets of pure gold. Alicia was reunited with her grandparents, Charles and Esther Faye Duty (paternal), and Ralph and Irma Early (maternal), in a grand reunion, and no doubt she stopped along the way and picked a bunch of pretty flowers for her Mamaw Duty, whom she loved so dearly. Alicia was born November 14, 1975, in Huntington WV. During her 44 years, she touched countless lives. To those who were honored to become her friend, she taught many life lessons, including how to love unconditionally and how to have patience. She will be greatly missed by all those she leaves behind including her two sisters, Kim (Eric) Yates, and Jennifer (Chris) Simpkins, one niece, Brianna (Roger) Hoback, three nephews, Ethan Yates, Grant Simpkins, and Ben Simpkins, and a great-nephew and niece, Braxton and Blakely Hoback. Alicia was loved by so many people, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a special aunt, Vickie McKnight, and many friends. She had many people who prayed for her every day. Through the years, God provided many special caregivers for Alicia who loved spoiling her and who completed her circle of love, especially her special "Nana," Jennifer Majher. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, Ohio, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2020, with visitation one hour before.
