Wanda RoeWanda L. Roe, 81, of Huntington, West Virginia, went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 4, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.Services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake Ohio. The family will receive friends for visitation from 3:00 PM ~ 4:00 PM at the funeral home.Until retirement she was a cashier at Family Dollar for many years. Also many patrons knew and loved Wanda from her time at the west end café.Wanda was born in Williamson, West Virginia, March 6, 1942, the daughter of the late Ruth and Mack McCoy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hobart, L Roe, son, Chuck Smith, daughter, Linda Roe Dunwoody, brothers, David and Kenny McCoy, son, Jerry Roe, and son-in-law, Marc Frye.She is survived by her loving children and family, Diana (Danny) Smirl of Savannah, Georgia, Vicky (Geoff) Frye of Tybee Island, Georgia, Angie Smith, Joseph (Sandi) Smith, David (Susie) Roe of Huntington, West Virginia, and Jason (Teresa) Roe from Las Vegas, Nevada. One brother, Fred (Eldora) McCoy of Huntington, West Virginia, and one daughter-in-law Debbie Smith, son-in-law, Neil Dunwoody. She had 17 grandchildren; Lindsey, Collin, Jacob, Skylar, Chuckie, Chace, Destiny, Kylee, Harrison, Henry, Charlotte, Olivia, Denise, Jennifer, Alysia, Matt, Jeremy, and Timmy. Wanda also leaves behind many great grandchildren; Liam, Gracie, Mia, Wyatt, Ansley, Kate, Tyler, Arizona, Haley, Hunter, Chastadi, Lindsey, Ashton, Hanna, Noah and Joshua. Also a host of nieces and nephews, in-laws, and her beloved cats that are mourning her loss. Yes, we are a blended family!Our mother will be remembered by her quiet strength and loving heart. To us, she was an extraordinary mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend to many.She will be missed by all who loved her.
